ORLANDO, Fla. (January 12, 2011) – Building and painting professionals now have more ways to expand their business with the help of Sherwin-Williams new Faux Impressions Specialty Finishes collection. The product line features four collections—Old World Impressions, Artisan Impressions, Quartz Stone Impressions and Metallic Impressions—each including three application techniques.
The twelve new decorative finishes, formulated with best-in-class technology and available in hundreds of color combinations, help professionals build their business beautifully with the quality guarantee found in every Sherwin-Williams product. Faux Impressions also offers new user-friendly tools and easy application steps that allow professionals to provide their customers these unique finishes, while still moving quickly on to the next job.
“From rustic to contemporary, Faux Impressions incorporates on-trend looks in a variety of colors to meet the needs of any consumer,” said Jackie Jordan, director of color marketing for Sherwin-Williams. “Professionals can achieve a unique look for their clients, and with the step-by-step application guides, can do so with confidence, no matter their skill level.”
Faux Impressions includes the following decorative finish options:
Metallic Impressions
Smooth Metallic gives a room a polished luster, while Brushed Metallic adds a subtle silk-like texture. Textured Metallic provides a hand-finished look to any room.
Quartz Stone Impressions
The Smooth Quartz Stone application technique achieves the look of mineral sands, while a more weathered look can be made by applying the Brushed Quartz Stone technique. The Striae Quartz Stone application borrows its base from the metallic family and adds texture to an interior surface.
Artisan Impressions
For a handcrafted look, Sherwin-Williams introduces the Artisan Impressions application. The Crackle application technique adds a multilayered depth to walls for a worn patina finish, and the Leaf application incorporates the look of fossilized leaves. Meanwhile, the Tissue Paper application takes on the appearance of stucco or cement.
Old World Impressions
Textured Fresco reproduces the characteristics of aged plaster walls and adds a sense of history to interior surfaces. Meanwhile Smooth Fresco exudes a warm rustic appeal and High Polish Fresco gives off a translucent sheen.
