John Strauss to Unveil New Solid Wood and Stainless Steel Designs at October High Point Furniture Market
John Strauss is to unveil his new “Lake Shore Collection” under his [email protected] label at the High Point Furniture Market, October 13-18, 2012 in “Salon”, space G-7013, Suites at Market Square. John Strauss Furniture Design will be showing in “Salon” for the first time, highlighting his appeal to the design trade.
Strauss’s Lake Shore Collection features solid cherry wood with hand cut box joints and sleek stainless steel supports in a deliberate contrast of materials and technology. Featured are a set of occasional tables, a live edge cocktail table and a small one-drawer side table that could function as a nightstand or classy living room accent piece. “I am excited about the Lake Shore Collection, as it is my most contemporary design innovation to date”, Strauss said.
Strauss is a designer who has developed the [email protected] collection over the past several years to target mid to upper end retail furniture stores, and is also a craftsman of custom furniture with over 25 years of experience. All of his standard designs are customizable and the design trade has been positive in its response.
Strauss’ products are made in Ohio by Amish craftspeople that work under Strauss’ direction. “All the furniture is solid wood from Appalachia, crafted by the Ohio Amish, metal work is made in the Mid-West, so it is 100 percent Made in the USA and sustainable as well”, Strauss continued. The collection awill be available in three standard finishes and several size options.
Several of Strauss’ Sheridan Rd. designs (part of [email protected]) in rift-sawn oak with ceruse finishes have been recently featured in the pages of Interior Design and Canadian Interiors magazines. Strauss’ work with Green River Stone has also been featured in the New York Times.
Strauss Furniture is a member of the Sustainable Furniture Council.
