BALANCING MODERNITY AND A COMFORTING CULTURED PAST: BON MAISON BY BERNHARDT
April 2, 2011 – LENOIR, NC –The good home, indeed. Cleaned-up and edited to provide comfort, beauty, and a human touch to families, Bon Maison by Bernhardt is a lesson in style for this moment.
Quiet understated forms, simple softly rounded lines, and minimal ornamentation references classic Louis Philippe style. Worn, weathered, natural looking woods add a comfortable lived-in vibe. Simplified graphic bases of industrial metal or ebonized wood provide modern pop.
The 65-sku whole-home collection is built in pine solids and veneers presented in four unique and harmonious wood finishes: Almond, a light neutral brown; Pine Nut, an antiqued white; Peppercorn, a soft black with rub-through, and Pistachio, a streaked rustic green. Forms are burnished and aged, with worn edges and a satiny feel resulting from multiple glazes, lacquers, and hand waxing.
Accent materials include: blackened and aged bronzed metals, stone mosaics, refined linens, and dark St. Laurent marble.
